Apparently the first rule of Shotgun Roulette is that nobody said you actually get to shotgun the full beer.

Naturally, everyone else was incredibly concerned about my well being.

Beer, body positivity and OnlyFans are apparently helping save Colorado marmots. Yes, that's a real sentence.

Researchers at the Rocky Mountain Biological Laboratory are using **Fat Marmot Week** to raise money and awareness for their long running study of yellow bellied marmots.

The chunky competition lets people vote for their favorite fat marmot while researchers study a much more serious issue. Colorado's record low snowpack left hibernating marmots with less insulation this past winter, and researchers reported that more than 100 of the animals died.

Putting on weight before hibernation is literally a matter of survival for these guys, so celebrating the fattest marmot actually makes some sense.

The campaign has also found some less conventional ways to raise money and attention, including **beer, merchandise and an OnlyFans account featuring the marmots.**

Somewhere, a marmot has better social media management than most of us.
