Sometimes you drive an hour for one beer...

...and sometimes you somehow leave with enough beer to make your suspension question your life choices.

This time we headed to Vulture Peak Brewing, the only brewery in Wickenburg, Arizona, expecting a fun afternoon and maybe a couple decent beers.

Instead, this husband-and-wife-owned brewery kept handing us beers that made us say, "Wait... I actually like this?" Turns out judging a beer style before trying it is about as smart as golfing sober. (I've heard.)

The brewery has an awesome patio with brewtiful views, trains rolling by, friendly people and absolutely zero food. Just a popcorn machine.

Their philosophy seems to be, "We make the beer. You figure out dinner."
Honestly... I kind of respect that.

Next time we're grabbing burgers from the well known place around the corner that happens to serve Vulture Peak's beers, carrying them back to the brewery and pretending that was our plan all along while ordering another flight.

If I lived in Wickenburg, this would become one of those places where the owners start pouring my beer before I even sit down.

We'll definitely be back for another Between Two Beers Road Trip because this place deserves another visit... and because apparently we didn't buy enough beer the first time.

If you've been to Vulture Peak, tell us your favorite beer in the comments. If you haven't... add it to your Arizona brewery bucket list.

🍻 Cheers!

A Brew Review…

Trillium Brewing – Boston, Massachusetts – The last (and only) time I was in Boston, I wasn’t even old enough to legally drink, so this trip was basically a long-overdue redemption tour. First stop: Trillium Fort Point. And wow… it felt enormous. Full taproom, big patio, and a rooftop deck that makes you wonder if you should just move in and start paying rent. Instant favorite.. –>
