Newscapes Brewing in Portland, ME

I have to be honest, it took us a while to find Newscapes. We were just finishing our last brewery stop and I just happened to Google breweries near me and a new one popped up a 3 minute walk away. Turns out, 20 minutes later we were walking on the wrong side of the block over and over, but I’m glad someone finally showed us the error in our ways.

This was the NEW last stop and it was a great little spot. Not a lot of space, but cozy and they had the game on as well as some great beer on draught. I was happy to call this home unit our ride picked us up for dinner. They just had a few well crafted beers, some cocktails and a small food menu. We were about to eat and I was busting with beer, but the Thai Pepper Pie sounded amazing. It looks like they were all set up for live music, but I was more concerned with my beer and the football game and beer to investigate further. The owner was great and spent some time talking beers and life, even with some regulars with me at the bar.

I wish I could have explored more, but it was cold, dark and late, but I will be back. They had a nice patio up front to enjoy on the warmer days. Bathrooms? Well, it was occupied, but they had one, so let’s just call it functional. Merch, none to speak of, but I would love to see some hats next time I visit 🙂

If you’re in Portland, make time to find Netscapes, drink some beer and let me know how the pie is!
